Budget Advisory Council
Purpose
Ensure active community participation in and enhance community understanding of the district’s budget planning process, and provide input to the board and administration on budget plans that support district and board goals, policies and initiatives.
Members
Up to 15 individuals who are stakeholders in the school district (a district resident, the parent or guardian of a district student, a district employee, or a district high-school student). Members who are not high school students will serve three-year terms. High school student members will serve one-year terms, with the option for a one-year renewal, provided the student remains enrolled in the district. Should generally have, but not required to have, expertise, understanding, or a background in financial matters and budgeting.
