Elementary Education
The Elementary Education Department oversees 19 elementary schools that serve more than 12,000 students in pre-K through grade 5. Five elementary schools are magnet schools that offer focused instruction around the themes of arts and science, international studies, leadership and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
