The District 196 Foundation is looking for passionate, community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a board member, you’ll be part of a small but mighty team dedicated to removing barriers and creating opportunities for students across all 36 District 196 schools. From weekend food bags and summer reading programs to band instruments and essential school supplies, we work to ensure every student has what they need to thrive—and we’d love your voice at the table.
Board members:
- Serve a 3-year term
- Attend six meetings per year
- Help lead fundraising and outreach efforts that directly impact thousands of students
We’re especially seeking diverse candidates with experience in:
- Event planning and implementation
- Fundraising and donor relations
- Marketing, communications, or journalism
- Web design and digital engagement
