District 196 athletes delivered strong performances at the state track & field finals on June 12, despite rainy conditions.

Eagan’s 4x400 relay team – Jake Sondag, Declan Dwyer, Tyler Sperl, and Noah Daniel – finished second with a time of 3:20.03, just six-tenths of a second behind Hastings.

Rosemount’s Kavari Flowers also took second in the 300m hurdles.

Additional top finishes included third place for Eagan’s 4x800 relay (Liam Frank, Cole Culler, Ethan Wilske, and Noah Daniel) and Noah Daniel in the 800m. Rosemount’s Abby Essler placed third in the girls long jump.
