Known as one of Minnesota’s most successful high school volleyball coaches, Walt Weaver was inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame this summer in Rapid City, S.D. Weaver coached at Apple Valley High School for 31 years before retiring in 2006. He his teams to two state championships in 1985 and 1992. In the 2020s, Mr. Weaver was instrumental in bringing boys volleyball into the MSHSL.
