Dear Families,

With two months of school under our belt, we are all deep into our school routines. I have the pleasure of being in your child’s classroom on a regular basis, and I am thrilled to see the incredible learning going on each and every day. With a committed staff, supportive parents/guardians, and students who come to school ready to learn each day, we will accomplish great things this year!

Thank you to all of you that attended parent/teacher conferences. I appreciate your involvement in your child’s education.

I would like to recognize the Food and Nutrition workers and Transportation workers not only during their recognition month of October, but all year long. We thank these wonderful employees for all that they do to make Woodland an exceptional place for our students.

Over the summer classrooms were equipped with new technology, enabling instruction to become more interactive. Through the generous financial assistance of our PTO and the district, we now have projectors in all classrooms and SMART boards in every grade level.  Teachers have been working hard to learn new software and create lessons that will allow for students to utilize technology in a whole new way.

We have had our first two PTO meetings of the year. Please remember that all parents/guardians are welcome to attend these meetings, so please consider attending an upcoming meeting. Meeting dates and times can be found on the school calendar and website. The PTO meetings focus on school operations, fundraising and supporting the school.

I wish you the best as we proceed into late fall. Please remember to stay in touch with us as staff members, and be sure to let me know of any questions or concerns you may have. Thank you for your support and your partnership.

In Partnership,
