Students have fun at Woodland's Music Program,
under the direction of Mrs. Nelson

What do you think the instruments are made of that
Mrs. Nelson, Woodland's music teacher, is holding?
You'll need to read the entire article to find the answer!!!

Let's meet . . .Mrs. Nelson
Mrs. Nelson has taught at Woodland since it opened in 1988. She has triplet daughters who are 14 years old. There is never a dull moment at home or at school.

On February 25, Woodland's gym was filled with music, song and laughter, as a fantastic Music Program was performed. The baseball theme program held a particular interest for Mrs. Nelson, because she and her husband owned a baseball memorabilia store in Apple Valley. It was called Hall of Fame Sports Memories. Woodland's 4th grade teacher, Mr. Samsky worked there also.
The photo below shows Mr. Samsky, aka Elvis Presley, performing Hound Dog with 4th grade students during a salute to the many styles of music.

Mrs. Nelson had the chance to have her father, Duayne Malewicki, accompany the WL students at the concert. This was the first time for this father-daughter experience.
