The
Drug Abuse Resistance Education or D.A.R.E. program is a
seventeen-week program that is taught by a specially trained,
uniformed law officer to all fifth grade classes. The program
is designed to teach children to recognize and resist social
pressures that may influence them to use dangerous drugs.
At the end of the program, a special graduation is held to
recognize students completion of the program and commitment
to be drug free. By completing this program, students join
others from around the world that have also chosen to be
drug-free.
