Patrols

The Southview School Patrol members consist of responsible fifth graders. The supervisors for this activity are Southview teachers: Heather Brooks and Cindy Kopel.

The school patrol's role is as follows:

Assist in training school children when and where to cross the street
To help students upon arrival and dismissal of school
To protect the children from any type of accident
Assist children while riding the bus

The school patrol has two captains whose duties are:

See that patrols report for duty on time

Making sure all members follow correct procedures when crossing students

Report students who disobey the safety patrols

Report all accidents

Be a role model to all students in the promotion of safety education
