Patrols do many things that help insure the safety of Southview students. As a reward for their valuable service, patrols spend an evening at Skateville, and also participate in another event.
Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) is brought to the students by the Apple Valley police department. A uniformed police officer comes into our school once a week for thirteen weeks to teach kids how to say NO to drugs.
Track and Field Day at Apple Valley High School is always an exciting event. Students test their track and field skills against other elementary schools in May. Ribbons are given to the top ten finishers in each event. Southview rules!
A spring trip to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and a winter trip to the Minnesota Zoo, to journal, are a part of our science environments unit.
