Friday, January 16th - Southview Bingo Night! - Come join us for a night of Bingo, free popcorn and FUN. This is a free event for all Southview students and their families! 7pm-8:30pm in the Valley Middle School cafeteria. Tuesday, January 13th is the next PTO Meeting - Southview PTO meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month. Look in the PTO Links above for a list of PTO meeting times for the 2008-2009 school year. THE COLOR PROJECT Last winter all students at Southview had the opportunity to participate in The Color Project. This project was directed by our art teacher, Leanne French-Amara. The purpose of the project was to help students see that people are defined more by what is inside of them than the color of their skin. The Southview PTO helped sponsor the project and the framed banners are now displayed in the library. Stop by and take a look! Wendy's Nights** are the first Monday of the month from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Apple Valley Wendy's. Southview receives 10% of all sales. See you there!

The Southview Elementary PTO offers a great way for you to get involved! All parents, teachers and staff are invited to attend PTO meetings. Hope to see you there! The PTO Bylaws were updated and approved by the PTO at the April 2008 meeting. Click on the link below to see a copy of the Bylaws . PTO Bylaws		Target stores sponsor the community. By simply shopping with your Target Visa or Target Card, a percentage of the amount of each purchase is donated back to your chosen school. 	Annette Opseth , a Target Stores representative, presented a check for $1,970.97 to the PTO and Rhonda Smith for monies raised through the use of the Target card. Since 1997 they have donated over $25,000.00 to the Southview PTO.
