All students at Shannon Park have the opportunity to develop their computer skills in the areas of word processing, language arts, math, graphic arts, internet research, creative presentation, and keyboarding. Shannon Park installed new computers in the main computer lab during the summer of 2009. We have two fully operational labs available for student use; our main computer lab plus another lab located in the media center.  Each lab has flat screen LCD educational iMacs.  Every class is scheduled to use the main computer lab either one or two times on a six-day cycle rotation.  The teachers can schedule additional computer time in the media center lab.

We would like to thank our Shannon Park community again, for participating in the various fundraising efforts at SP.    Some of the money raised was used over the summer to help support technology.  One of our technology goals is to have more interactive classrooms.  To support this goal, we purchased additional projectors and document cameras.  We are hoping that future purchases will also include Smartboards, in addition to more projectors and document cameras.
