a student is absent, a parent or guardian needs to call the SES attendance
office at 952-431-8750 before 10:00 am each day the student misses school.
When placing the call be prepared to give the following information: |

- Parent or guardian name and the relationship to the student.
- Name of the student and current grade.
- Reason for absence.

| If
a secretary is not available and a message must be left please also include:

- The day and date of the absence
- A daytime phone number where the parent or guardian can be reached to verify the absence.

you need to leave a message, a sample message is provided below: |

This is John Doe, father of of Rachel Doe in grade 12. Rachel will be
absent today, Tuesday, September 17, because of an illness. If you have
questions I can be reached during the day today on my cell phone at 612-555-1212 |
| Notes are not needed and are not accepted. A parent or guardian must call the school to verify the absence. |
