Government is
responsible to provide equal access and rights for citizens. It must provide safety, security,
accessibility to common utilities, schools, and other social needs expressed
by those citizens.

It is
essential that communities make an honest effort to promote efficient energy
use, acceptable air and water quality, and preservations of natural setting.

|
|
A successful
community will provide strong and easily accessible education.
|
|
|
Public
transportation should be easily accessible. Living areas and places of work should be condensed to
make it more convenient for people to walk.
|
|
|
Costs for
housing, health care, and transportation should be affordable.
|
|
|
Emphasis
should be placed on local businesses that are easily accessible. Plentiful job opportunities should be
available.
|
|
|
It is
essential that community development be purposeful and a goal of acceptance
and inclusion. A sense of
community should be nurtured through third places, community celebrations to
develop a feeling of neighborliness and encourage ethical behavior
