Welcome

Rosemount Middle School

Welcome to the Rosemount Middle School. Our goal is to help every student reach his or her full potential. We believe that the whole child's development of personal, social, physical, and academic skills is critical for success in life. We want every student to have success in the classroom and also in before and after school experiences. Whether you're a parent, student or community member, our intent is for you to feel welcome in our school.

  • iPad Turn-in Days are coming!

As the school year comes to an end, we wanted to notify you that all students are expected to turn in their iPad and power cord/brick by June 1st for 7th Grade and June 2nd for 8th Grade. Students will be provided specific instructions regarding when and how this turn-in process will happen. Your assistance in making sure this is accomplished as directed will not only simplify things this spring for both the school and you, it will also ensure they are ready to go next school year as they will be getting the same device back.

A letter and sample checklist are being sent home on Tuesday, May 23rd with all 7th and 8th grade students. During the check-in process, students will be asked to complete various steps to prepare the device for summer storage and dissemination in the fall. You can review a sample of the checklist students will complete and sign when they turn in their device and power brick/cord here.

Mr. Des Jarlais (students with last names A-L) kiel.desjarlais@district196.org or at 651-423-7620.

Mrs. Rose (students with the last name M-Z) besty.rose@district196.org or at 651-423-7623.

We know that some of our families are facing some tough times, so we want to ensure our students have the nutrition they need on the weekends so they can come to school prepared to learn! We are happy to provide this support to our students and their families, and we will distribute the bags of food as discreetly as possible to your child.

Attention Parents of Sixth Grade Students:
Minnesota law requires all students to be current with their immunizations prior to entering seventh grade.   If your student needs any immunizations, you should have recently received a letter in the mail from the school nurse.

If you received a letter, please act on it quickly so the information can be entered into your students health file prior to the end of the school year. You may contact Robin Schmitz at 651-423-7571, or robin.schmitz@district196.org if you have any questions.

If your student gets a sports physical when they visit their doctor to get their immunizations, please request a copy of the physical and submit that to the school as well. Sports physicals are required for any student participating in school sponsored sports, and they are good for three years.
