Congratulations to the Rosemount High School Marching Band named the 2009 Minnesota State Champions for the 4th consecutive year at the Minnesota State Youth and Music Competition at the Metrodome this past weekend. The band also received awards for outstanding hornline, outstanding color guard and were named Grand Champions.

The band also had outstanding performances at the Bands Of America Super Regional Band Championships, held October 16 & 17, at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO. Competing with 49 bands performing from 13 different states, the RHS Marching Band qualified for Finals Competition (top scoring 14 bands) and finished in 6th place overall.

In addition the band won every one of its 2009 field competitions leading up to the above final events.
