Rosemount High School Community,
It is homecoming week at Rosemount High School. The following is the text of an announcement I shared with students at pledge of allegiance time this morning. It highlights some of the week's events and our expectations. I am sending it to you FYI
Good morning Rosemount High School, it is Homecoming week.
This will be a fun and exciting week for all of us.
I would like to take a few moments to talk about Homecoming 2009.
First - Homecoming should be an enjoyable week for all of you.
It is a long standing tradition that provides us with the opportunity to celebrate as a school community.
The week is full of great activities. I hope you participate in and enjoy them.
Homecoming kicks off this morning with a meet the candidates ceremony in our gym between periods 3 and 4. This is a ceremony. It is not a pep assembly. Let's set the tone for a great week by honoring our royalty and performers at today's assembly with our utmost respect. Listen to the performers and honor the royalty.
Each day this week has a theme attached to it. The themes are:
Monday = Comfy Day
Tuesday = Tie Dye/Neon Day
Wednesday = Sweatshirt Day
Thursday = Lumberjack/Plaid Day
Friday = School Spirit Day
I hope you choose to participate in these themes. Be sure that what you wear is appropriate. Make sure you always conduct yourself in an appropriate manner. School dress codes and conduct expectations do not change during Homecoming week . Have fun with the themes!
There are many co-curricular activities throughout the week. I hope you attend them. When you do, don't forget that we all represent the Rosemount High School Community. You are a reflection of our community. Have fun. Have spirit. Enjoy the moment. At the same time - always conduct yourself in a classy and respectful manner. Don't forget. All of us together are - Rosemount High School . For those of you participating in these activities, good luck and go Irish!
Don't forget that Thursday night is movie night. We will be showing "Night at the Museum" at 7:00 p.m., outside on the PAC wall. If you are not out competing in a co-curricular activity or supporting one of our activities that evening, we hope you will join us for the movie. If you do attend the movie, you may sit on the grass or bring a yard chair from home. The week will close with coronation and a pep assembly at the end of the day Friday and a dance on Saturday night.
So here we go Rosemount High School. Homecoming 2009.
We hope it is a great week for all of you.
It is a great week to celebrate who we are.
We are - Rosemount High School.
Go Irish!
We are looking forward to a great week!
Go Irish!
