At Rosemount Elementary School, we believe we reach every student by providing an educational environment that promotes students success and learning.

Great things are happening every day at Rosemount Elementary. Student learning is evident as children work in their classrooms in a variety of settings. As I visit classrooms I observe instructor directed teaching, small group instruction, students working in small groups solving complex problems, and students working independently.

Rosemount Elementary also provides opportunities outside of the regular education classroom. Students can use their creative talents in art and music. Technology is utilized through our computer instruction and within many of our classrooms. Our media center has a rich collection of books for enjoyment and research. Through physical education classes children play games, exercise and learn about health and fitness. Amid the academic expectations throughout the day, children have opportunities to explore.

An initiative for our staff has been to create more structured and scheduled meeting times for teachers to plan and work as collaborative teams. Student learning is the primary focus of these meetings. Each team establishes and creates common assessments toward a collegial goal. High expectations are set, as students strive for excellence.
