| Welcome to the Explore web site. Explore is a signature program for Pinewood Community School. Explore continues to be a foundational component of expanded curricular options for our students.
Explore encourages our students to discover topics that may open new avenues of interest and challenge for them. Explore allows students to become involved in making decisions in regards to their own education. Explore promotes the idea of students taking educational risks to try new endeavors. Choice is a powerful motivator and Explore is about making curricular choices. Research indicates that students who believe they are in control of what they are learning become more responsible for their learning and achieve at the highest levels. There will be six sessions of Explore during the 2009 - 2010 school year. Students will have two sessions of Explore during each trimester. From this web page you can log into our registration system and register your child for this trimester’s Explore sessions. We encourage you to do this with your child. To login you will need your child’s ISD196 student ID number and the PIN they use in the cafeteria. Sincerely Mr. Town |
