Mona Lisa and a French Painter

All students at Pinewood, with the exception of the half day kindergartners, visit the art room as part of the specialist rotation, usually once every four or five days. In the art room the students particiapte in a many kinds of art experiences. Throughout the year the children use a wide variety of materials and study many different pieces of art work.

The cultural and social aspects of art, as well as critical thinking, problem solving skills and literary connections are incorporated into the art curriculum on a daily basis.
