Third Grade

Fall Field Trip, 2009
In third grade students are beginning to transition between the fundamental skills they have learned in K-2 and put them to work in a more collaborative and creative way. We are now reading to learn, rather than learning to read. In math we are building upon our skills to help solve problems. Cursive handwriting is new and a big part of being a third grader.
Pinewood strives to provide children at this level with a learning environment that is both fun and engaging in order to prepare students for the last two years of their elementary school experience.
