Reading Buddies
Welcome to the second grade at Pinewood! The second grade teachers are excited to help our students reach their full learning potential this year. Please check out the Pinewood handbook and the district website for information about our curriculum.
Our second graders will attend field trips to the following locations this year: The Children’s Theatre/Minneapolis Institute of Arts, The Minnesota History Center, and The Science Museum of Minnesota.
Some of the special activities our students will participate in include: Johnny Appleseed Day in September, a fall visit to the Eagan Fire Department up the street, an electricity safety presentation, Junior Achievement lessons on “Our Community” in the winter, Clean Up Day in the spring, and our Young Authors Conference in May.
