Math Volunteers: Parkview Second grade teachers have been working with
Shannon Gilmore, District Math Trainer, organizing math boxes. These boxes contain everything a volunteer will need to work, one-on-one, with a 2nd grader on a given math strategy. We currently have 15 parent volunteers donating their time with this project.
After school classes: Winter session registration form will be sent home on Friday December 14th and must be returned by the registration deadline on December 21st.
Winter session classes start on January 28th and end on March 13th. This will be your last opportunity to register for classes during this school year because Parkview does not offer spring session.
Literacy Volunteers needed: We are looking for parents, grandparents, neighbors and friends that would like to volunteer their time by reading with a student. We will provide training and materials. If interested please call Helen Jacobse at Parkview 952 431-8350.
First Grade Music program and Grandparents day is Wednesday, November 21, 2007
Presidents’ Report:
Kathryn Beich: pickup is Friday, November 16th, 3:00-7:00 in the gym.
Family Reading Night: the topic for the next PTO meeting, scheduled for January 22.
Following the PTO meeting, the Advisory Council will host a Family reading night. The focus of this year’s Reading night will be Public Safety. Lakeville police officers, fire fighters, and other members of our community will be sharing their favorite stories and providing information about keeping your family safe. As a convenience to Parkview Families, the PTO will be selling hot dogs, chips, soda and cookies for a minimal fee.
