Secretary Report: Minutes from October, Motion to Approve. Seconded. Motion Carried.
Treasurer’s Report: A cash position report was handed out. Based on current projected unrestricted funds we should end the year with an $8,703 cushion. A second and final vote on 2005-2006 budget report was made. Motion to Approve. Seconded. Approved
Volunteer Coordinator Report: Market day food ordering program was presented, wondering if we would be interested in the program. Parkview would receive 10% of the profits.
Advisory Council Update: Looking to contact many volunteers from various corporations to offer a parent reading night at Parkview.
Principal’s Report: Thank you to Dawn Toth a Parkview parent for presenting Parkview with a grant from Target in the amount of $2,500. The money will help fund the Artist in residence program and will also help in funding fieldtrips. Thank you to all the parent and staff for volunteering their time at the district office to make phone calls with information about the levy. Yes, the levy did pass. Construction Update: 5th Grade will be moving into the new wing over spring break. During spring break, the library will be moved to a temporary location in the building and closed through the summer. Thank you to Kristi Anderson along with many parents the provided the staff with a variety of meals during conferences. It was greatly appreciated. The after school program coordinated by Joan Johnson has over 130 students signed up to participate. Thank you to Joan for all her hard work in making this after school program possible. Great books reading program coordinated by Joan Johnson and Kelli Linnerooth will be offered to grades one, two and three. The great book reading program will be lead by trained parent volunteers. Next year Parkview will be able to offer all day kindergarten. A letter will be sent out in January to next years kindergarten families. If they are interested in all day kindergarten, they will be able to sign up on a first come, first serve basis and then the remaining families will be added to a waiting list.
Presidents Report: Kay Larson is still looking for a co-chairperson for the spring carnival. Fundraising coupon card will hopefully be available by the end of this year. The card will cost $10.00 and will offer many great 2 for1 and 50% off discounts. There are many local businesses on the card. We still have wrist bands available for sale.
Next Meeting: December 20th 2005 at 6:30 December Topic: Organizational Expert “kitchen counter tops and entryway” Meeting Adjourned: At approximately 7:00 pm and the family craft started in the lunchroom.
