PTO Meeting Minutes
April 16th, 2007 at 6:30 pm
Attendance:
Staff: Pam Haldeman, Jo Ann Vucinovich, Kristy Cross, Margaret Swanson,
Kathy Borgen, Margaret Lunn.
Parents: Karin Laidlaw, Judy Kaner, Dave Osley, Dawn Toth, Jodi Kelly, Nancy Gordon,
Kelli Linnerooth, Jody Polson.
Guest Speaker Topic: The Minnesota Comprehension Assessment Testing.
Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will take MCA’S in April and May. The MCA’s were developed for the state to evaluate the district, school and indivividual student progress. The tests are part of the educational; accountability system in Minnesota. Schools will use these results to make curricular and instructional decisions for all students.

Secretary’s Report: No New Minutes to Approve.
Treasure’s Report: We should end the 2006-2007 school year with a positive balance of $2,800.
Principal Report: There will be some secretarial staffing changes beginning May 21st.
Sue Jukuri, our current 12-month secretary, is leaving Parkview to live in China for the next few years. Her husband, Tim, has been transferred there. Sue’s last day will be May 16th. Debbie Adams will be leaving her current 10-month secretary position to become out new 12-month secretary. Deb’s first day in that position will be May 17th.
Projected Enrollment for 2007-2008 School year projected at 672 students.
President’s Report: Dallen will be stepping down from his position as PTO President.
Please see Mrs. Haldeman if you are interested in the President position.
The PTO received many great applications towards the $500.00 Parkview Scholarship. We will have more info regarding the student that we decide to select during the May PTO meeting.
Important Dates to Remember:
Culvers Night: April 26th, May 24th
Parkview Twins Night: May 5th 2007
Air National Guard will be visiting us once again and landing at Parkview at 2:30pm
on the 17th of May.
BOGO Book Fair: May 31st from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
Fundraising Report:
Kathryn Beich will be our new fundraiser, kicking off in September.
Spring Fling Report:
Date: May 18th 2007 from 5:00-8:30pm.
We are still in need of Silent Auction donations.
Next Meeting May15 at 6:30pm
