Oak Ridge Fundraisers
Throughout the school year, there are many opportunities to voluntarily provide financial support for our school. The funds raised through these various activities are used to enhance the learning experience at our school. The parent Advisory Council provides our principal, Lisa Hannon, with important input and approval on where the dollars are spent. In recent years, a bulk of the funding has been used to hire additional staff in order to reduce class sizes as well as to pay for grade-level lyceums and school assemblies throughout the year. Cash donations to the school are also accepted and are tax deductible. Listed below are some of the fundraising activities at Oak Ridge.
Family Nights will be held every other Tuesday during the school year at a variet of Eagan restaurants. The first Tuesday of each month will be at Wendy's or Que Viet from 5-7pm. The thrid Tuesday of each month will be at Culver's from 5-7pm. Each restaurant gives a percent back to Oak Ridge from the purchases those nights. Come out to enjoy fellowship with other Oak Ridge families and be free from cooking dinner that night.
Target gives a percentage back to our school for anyone using their Target Visa card and who has designated Oak Ridge as the beneficiary. For more information, ask about this program at your nearest Target store.
Box Tops for Education is a program that gives Oak Ridge 10 cents for every Box Top for Education that is turned in. There are many products that carry this symbol, so if you are already buying products that have this label, please just cut it out and sxend it to school with your child.
Kemp's, Land O'Lakes and Mill Moola (Kwik Trip) will tgive us 5 cents for every milk cap that is turned into our school. It is surprising how fast these cents can add up to big dollars!
Oak Ridge is participating in Kowalski's "Groceries for Good Causes" program, so if you are shopping at Eagan's new Kowalski's market off Johnny Cake Ridge Road, please remember to drop your receipt into Oak Ridge's box, which is located at the front of the store. At the end of every day, they will total up the number of receipts for each of the participating organizations, and keep a running total based on the number of receipts, NOT the dollar amount. At the end of the quarter, we will receive a donation from Kowalski's, based on the percentage of receipts that were in the Oak Ridge box. Please pass this information along to your friends and family members who may also be shopping there - this is a very easy program to be a part of!
