Northview Elementary

* Northview Elementary is one of 18 elementary schools in Independent School District 196, Minnesota's fourth largest school district located in the south suburban twin cities.
* Northview is located in Eagan, MN on 39.5 acres of land. It was constructed on the same site as the fourth school building in District 14, which was built back in 1898.
* Northview first opened in 1960, and significant additions were made to the building in 1966, 1999 and 2006.
* Approximately 600 students in kindergarten through fifth grade currently attend Northview.
* Northview is home to the Northview All-Stars.
* Character Counts is a program at Northview that offers every student in first through fifth grade an opportunity to participate in character clubs that focus on the character traits of respect, trustworthiness, citizenship, fairness, responsibility, and caring.
* Students at Northview take part in Discover classes that are designed to embellish thinking skills, creativity, curriculum goals, and problem solving skills. Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences is incorporated into each course.
