The Welcome Desk was established as an outgrowth of the concern for student and staff safety. The desk is staffed by volunteers daily, each staying for a morning or afternoon shift.

Two volunteer notebooks are kept at the desk along with name tags for visitors and volunteers.

The Welcome Desk is also the drop-off point for forgotten items when parents have to dash in to school.

 Welcome Desk Volunteer greets visitors and other volunteers and assures that everyone is properly signed in and given a name tag which must be worn by that person while in the building.

The volunteer takes care of calling the classroom teacher and seeing that the needed item makes it to the owner in plenty of time!
