Art Adventure

What is Art Adventure?

The Art Adventure Program introduces K-5 students to works from the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.  Trained parent volunteers visit each classroom 3 times per session with the goal of increasing student interest in and appreciation of art.  A successful Art Adventure is often less about the information shared than the questions the kids raise or their desire to see, own or create a masterpiece.

During November 2009, the pieces fall under the theme "People and Their Environments".
The artworks can be viewed HERE

In April 2010, students will investigate works from the set "American Art Sampler".  This group is available HERE

This enriching program relies on the efforts of Glacier Hills parents.  Please consider becoming an Art Adventure volunteer!
