5th Grade - Lebanon Hills - 2008

The fifth grade students visited Lebanon Hills in early September as a part of the Environments Science unit. Students examined the prairie, lake and forest environments to see what types of plants and animals prefer those types of environments. Students also participated in a predator/prey simulation game to learn about the interconnectedness of all the environments. During the lunch/recess portion of the day students were given the opportunity to document some of the natural objects they found. Pairs of students were given a digital camera and asked to find natural items for each letter of the alphabet.  Several of the pictures are currently on display outside the science room.
