SPORT SCORES
Unfortunately the Eastview Lightning Varsity Girls Soccer season
ended last Thursday with a 1-0 overtime loss to Armstrong in the State
Quarterfinals. Depsite starting slow the Eastview girls really turned up the
pressure in the second half. The Lightning’s overall effort, determination and
dominate play carried over into the first and second overtimes where it looked
as if Eastview’s pressure would eventually get a goal. However with 1:42
remaining in the second half, Armstrong’s Nichole Dooher shot a ball that just
made it inside of the far post, ending the game in the second overtime. Anyone
in attendance at the game could visually witness the passion and effort with
which Eastview played. The Eastview Girls Soccer team ended their season with a
record of 17-2-3. Thanks to all the great fans for their support
throughout the season. The team had a great regular season and a great
run in the tournament. Go Lightning!
