SPORT SCORES
The Eastview Girls' Cross Country team came away
with a 4th place team finish in a very strong Lake Conference meet.
The girls put together some great races. All of the varsity athletes ran faster times than last
year. The two new freshmen (Burkstrand and Schreier) also ran one of
their best races this season. McKenzie battled the entire race with Opitz
and Berndt, but came out 3rd. Ferguson led the second
group of athletes throughout the race and placed 4th overall.
The Sophomore
Football team earned its 5th win of the season last Tuesday by
defeating Rosemount 21-14 in overtime. The sophomore’s last game of the
season will be this Wednesday at Park High School at 6:30 pm.
Congratulations to the 9A Football team
on a successful season with a final record of 6-2.
The Lightning Varsity Girls Soccer team took until
the final shooter in the shootout to win over a quality Park team in the finals
of Section 3 to advance to the State Tournament. Playing in the rain on a muddy field both
teams battled for 100 minutes with neither team able to get the go ahead
goal. Outstanding play on both ends of
the field for both teams under trying circumstances. Keeper Sam Mehr and the defense of Taylor
Allen, Sammy Zieminski, Sara Ake, Christine Fries, and Kelsey North did a great
job of keeping the ball out of our net and earned the teams third shutout in
the section and 16th for the season.
Senior Cat Parkhill, an under 17 national goalkeeper, stepped into the
net for the shootout and stopped 4 Park shots.
Marissa Price scored her penalty kick setting up senior captain Taylor
Allen who knocked in the winning shot.
Another great team effort by the Lightning who return to the State
Tourney for the second time in our 11 year history and will play Thursday
at 5:30 at Park Cottage Grove. Be there - we appreciate your
support!
Congrats to the Sophomore Volleyball team for a great season. Please sign up
in C235 for your end of the season meeting with Coach Lieffort Monday-
Wednesday this week after school.
The JV

Prairie. The team finished their season with only two losses.
Congratulations, ladies!
Dakota Hawks Adapted Soccer Team PI division tied South Suburban
