    * For= a Partial Day Absence (late arrival or early release), please send a no= te with your student. Students must have a pass before leaving the school.

We are looking for volunteers to cover the North Door welcome area this week for the following days and times:
Tuesday: 11:00 to 1:45
Wednesday: 8:15 to 11:00 and 11:00 to 1:45
Thursday: 8:15 to 11:00 and 11:00 to 1:45
Friday: 8:15 to 11:00 and 11:00 to 1:45

= Because of EVHS’s proactive stance on the Influenza-Like Illnesses (IL= I) we are asking that all EVHS students return their Emergency Cards as soon as possible. Should your student become ill our nurse will conne= ct with you immediately to reduce the infection of other students and teachers. Please ask your child about their Emergency Card today and = your student return the completed, corrected and signed Emergency Card immediately.   We are also asking that all students bring at least one box of tissues and at least one container of alcohol-free anti-bacteria= l wipes to their first hour class starting Wednesday.

Attention: 9^th Grade Boys’ Basketball Parents. 9^th grade parents, if you have a son who is interested in playing basketball th= is winter for Eastview High School, please come to= our 9th grade preseason meeting on Tuesday September 15 at 7:00 pm in Room C350. Please come and meet the coaching staff, receive fall and prese= ason schedules, tryout information, and fall opportunities for your son. = Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Cross Country team for a great start to the seas= on in the 20 team Rolf Melby Invitational last Friday. Despite pulling one of our top runners out of the race at the= two mile mark the varsity squad still finished in 4^th place. Leading the way and earning awards for the Lightning were Junior Erik Rosvold (9^th), Senior Michael Griepp (18^th), and Senior Scott Fusco (29<= sup>th).

= Congratulations to the Junior Varsity Boys Cross Country team for dominating the Rol= f Melby Invitational last Friday. Although team s= cores were not kept in the race Eastview took three o= f the first four spots and had many runners in the top 25. Leading the way = and winning his first high school race was Freshman Nick O= elke; followed by Senior Ross Nygren in third, and Sophomore Charlie Krengel in fourth.

The 9A Girl’s Soccer team is off to a great start to the season wi= th a 5-0 record. Way to go team and keep it going! The next game is at home agai= nst Eden Prairie, September 11 at 4.00 pm.

Tickets for the Welcome Back Dance can be purchased for $6 in advance or $10= at the door. We are encouraging all students to buy their tickets in advance during lunch to eliminate having to wait in line after the foot= ball game to get in the dance. Tickets will be sold Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week during lunch. Bring a canned good or hand sanitiz= er and get $1 off. The Welcome Back Dance is for Eastview students only no guests. The dance will be held on Friday, September 11 in the Eastview Commons fr= om 8-11 pm. The dress is casual. Emergency Cards must be turned in. Upperclass= men bring old school ID cards. See you after the football game at the dance!
