All Parents of Seniors looking for a way to get involved during the =

year of your child's high school experience? The 2010 Senior Party
Planning Committee is looking for lots of dedicated parents to help plan
this year's event. Molly Gantz will be leading this year's party plan=
ning
committee. We are looking for parents to chair (or co-chair) many of =
the
committees for next year's party. The looks and feedback from the stud=
ents
as they stepped into the "SS Lightening" last year after graduati=

over 150 parents volunteer to make the party a success. Let's show our
kids what the parents of the class of 2010 can do when we put our collective
heads together. We need committee heads for decorating, games, Casino,
Food, Fund Raising and several other committees. I also nee=

The
Eastview School Store is now open daily. Make sure to stop down
and check it out. The school store is located at the east end of the
Commons. We are open before school and the first twenty minutes of ho=
urs
one through four. We offer a variety of breakfast items, drinks, and
snacks as well as lightning apparel and school supplies. Don’t =
miss
out!
The
Lightning Cafe is now open until 3:00 pm every day. We will serve fr=
esh
baked cookies, snacks and drinks. Come and get free birthday cookies once a
year for your birthday when you show your student ID. We are located on the
lower level outside the Gym and music rooms......just follow the smell of
cookies!! See you there!

Registration for the October 14 PSAT test has begun and will conclud=

Thursday, October 1. Tickets will only be sold during 5th
period in the Guidance Office. The cost is $18.00 and checks ca=

made payable to EVHS. An additional $2.00 will be charged for
registration after October 1. No registration form is needed.

ANNOUNCMENTS

High School on Thursday, October 8 at 6:30 pm in Lecture Room A. If y=

are unable to attend one of the meetings please contact Coach Boldus at
EVHS. All levels of ability are welcome to attend and learn more.&nbs=

We will discuss the training trip to Indianhead and logistics about the sea=
son.
Attention
all Boys Basketball parents grades 9-12. The first 6th Man Club
booster meeting will be held on Monday, October 5 from 7:00-8:00 pm.

Interested
in becoming an Eastview cheerleader? A Clinic for the JV
Competition/Varsity Soccer squad and the Varsity Basketball cheer squad
will be Sunday September 27 in the North Gym from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm,
and Monday September 28 in the Main Gym from 6:00 pm
– 8:00 pm. The clinic will introduce the materials necessary for
tryouts. These materials will include the Eastview Fight song, arm mo=
tions,
jumps and basic stunting. Tryouts will be Tuesday September 29 from 6=

Boys 9B Soccer: The=
Lightning
had their first win against Eagan on Wednesday. They beat the Wildcats
4-0 with 2 goals by Jake Opheim, and one each by Joe Schlosser and Grant
Martinson. Defensively the boys had strong play from Victor Farmah and
Cuong Duong. They look for another win on Friday at Apple Valley.
The 9A
Volleyball team lost last night to Eagan in a quick match. They w=

play Jefferson at home at 4:00 on Thursday.

All students are encouraged to buy their tickets in advance during lunch to
eliminate having to wait in line at the dance. Tickets will be sold
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during lunch. Bring a canned =

or hand sanitizer and get $1 off. Guests are welcome; all guests must
register in the Main Office before the dance. Bring current school IDs.&nbs=
p; Dress for this dance is semi-formal wherein most ladi=

wear dress pants/skirt; and most men wear dress pants and shirt as well as a

package to the Random Acts of Kindness Fund at EVHS. This fund h=

EVHS students with Scholarships and Activity fees. Help support this worthy
