Seniors looking for a way to get involved during the last year of your
child's high school experience? The 2010 Senior Party Planning
Committee is looking for lots of dedicated parents to help plan this ye=
ar's
event. Molly Gantz will be leading this year's party planning
committee. We are looking for parents to chair (or co-chair) many of =
the
committees for next year's party. The looks and feedback from the stud=
ents
as they stepped into the "SS Lightening" last year after graduati=
on
night was priceless. If you are organized, creative and looking f=

little bit interested come and see what it's all about. Last year we =

over 150 parents volunteer to make the party a success. Let's show our
kids what the parents of the class of 2010 can do when we put our collective
heads together. We need committee heads for decorating, games, Casino,
Food, Fund Raising and several other committees. I also nee=

organized individual to be our secretary and volunteer coordinator.

EVHS’s proactive stance on the Influenza-Like Illnesses (ILI) =

are asking that all EVHS students return their Emergency Cards as so=

Eastview School Store is now open daily. Make sure to stop down
and check it out. The school store is located at the east end of the
Commons. We are open before school and the first twenty minutes of ho=
urs
one through four. We offer a variety of breakfast items, drinks, and
snacks as well as lightning apparel and school supplies. Don’t =
miss
out!
The
Lightning Cafe is now open until 3:00 pm every day. We will serve fr=
esh
baked cookies, snacks and drinks. Come and get free birthday cookies once a
year for your birthday when you show your student ID. We are located on the
lower level outside the Gym and music rooms......just follow the smell of

Eastview cheerleader? A Clinic for the JV
Competition/Varsity Soccer squad and the Varsity Basketball cheer squad
will be Sunday September 27 in the North Gym from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm,
and Monday September 28 in the Main Gym from 6:00 pm
– 8:00 pm. The clinic will introduce the materials necessary for
tryouts. These materials will include the Eastview Fight song, arm

The Varsity Boys Soccer team traveled to Northfield on Saturday and =

(11) at the 60 minute mark to go up 1-0. In the 72 minute, your Light=

paid a heavy price for not putting the game away earlier, when Northfield p=

in a goal past the Eastview defense. The tie dropped your Eastview
Lightning to 2-4-2 overall and 2-1-1 in the Lake Conference. Next up- Eagan, tomorrow at 5:00 pm.
The JV Boys Soccer team pulled out another victory over Northfield
putting their record to 4-3-1. The game winning g=

from Collin Thompson and the mid-point of second half.

The
9A Girl’s Soccer team bounced back from two consecutive losses
with a resounding win 5-0 over Lakeville South last Friday. Goals for the
Lightning came from Kayla Tuthill, Kelsey Bettelli and a hat trick from Mel=
isse
Chasse. The next games will be at home today at 4.00 against Rosemount, and
Friday same time against Apple Valley. Come out and support the team.

The Girls Swimming and Diving Team
fought to the end to beat Eagan 94 to 84 Thursday’s night. The
relay teams of Leah Anderson, Anna Drahos, Kelsey Deinhammer, Hayle Trace,
Breanna Schlegel, Kristin Podratz, Kayla Hutsell
pushed to the limit to win first place in 200 relay and 200 medley relay.&n=

Also in first place are Kayla Hutsell in 200 IM and 500 free, Hayley Trace =

50 and 100 free, and Leah Anderson in 200 free. The Champion team
can’t stop and won’t stop winning against Eden Prairie at Falcon
