Student Absence Information:

=     * For a Full Day Absence, please use the = Attendance Line in the voicemail system: 651-683-6969 extension 98677 or 98678, and leave your message.

    * For= a Partial Day Absence (late arrival or early release), please send a no= te with your student. Students must have a pass before leaving the school.

Because of EVHS’s proactive stance on the Influenza-Like Illnesses= (ILI) we are asking that all EVHS students return their Emergency Cards<= /b> as soon as possible. Should your student become ill our nurse will connect with you immediately to reduce the infection of other students and teachers. Please ask your child about their Emergency Card and have y= our student return the completed, corrected and signed Emergency Card immediately.   We are also asking that all students bring at least one box of tissues and at least one container of alcohol-free anti-bacterial wipes to their first hour class starting today.

= Need lunch?? All families who qualify for free and reduced lunches must s= ign up every year. Forms are available at the EVHS Attendance Office and= the forms must be returned by September 30to Food Service.

Parents are Key (PAK) Meeting - Please note that the correct date for the first PAK meeting= of the year is Monday, September 21. We will be meeting at 7:00 pm in the EVHS Career Center to discuss the various parent volunteer opportunities and other PAK activities that support EVHS students and staff. Attention: 9^th Grade Boys’ Basketball Parents. 9^th grade parents, if you have a son who is interested in playing basketball th= is winter for Eastview High School, please come to our 9^th grade preseason meeting on Tuesday September 15 at 7:00 pm in Room C350. Pl= ease come and meet the coaching staff, receive fall and preseason schedules, try= out information, and fall opportunities for your son. - Dates are filling for the Eastview ACT Prep Courses being offered in preparation for the October 24 ACT Test. The course provides 15+ hour= s of focused study in preparation for the ACT Test. By design, the course provides trained teachers who will navigate you through the ACT testing process. Classroom time will focus on understanding the format of the test, building strategies for answering more questions correctly and pacing yourself during a timed test. We also provide an opportunity to take a mock test under actual testing conditions. Students build confidence and sk= ills that will boost their scores on the actual test.   Students will = have access to hundreds of practice questions. The cost of the program is = $150 and scholarships are available for students who need financial assistance (= see your counselor). Whether you have taken the ACT test before or you are new to the experience, we will prepare you to do your personal best.Registration is limited to 20 students per class, so sign up now! Registration deadline for the next session is Friday, September 11. Dates through the end of the year are posted. Early registration is encouraged.

·         12^th grade:       42.8% (Pump it up, seniors…you’re not safe until those EMERGENCY CARDS get in…keep track of your germs)

for Friday night’s Football game against Rosemount will be availab= le in the Main Office and during lunches today and tomorrow. The cost of tickets is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. The game will be played at the Eastview stadium at 7:00 pm and the gate will open for ticket sales at 5:30 pm.

= Tomorrow, KDWB will be broadcasting live from the Eastview Stadium before and during the football game and will give ONE LUCKY STUDENT a chance to pass a football through a target for their chance to win a $25,000 college scholarship! Stop by the KDWB van near the Victory Circle inside = the stadium and register anytime through the end of the first quarter. If your name is drawn and your throw is successful you win the scholarship!&nb= sp; If not you will still win a great prize pack from KDWB. Stop by the t= able to register as well as a number of free “give aways.” In order to be eligible you must be 14 years of age or older and cannot be a member of any high school football team.

fundraiser by the Eastview High School cheerleaders will be held on Saturday, September 12 from 8-10 am at Applebee’s, 14678 Cedar Ave., Apple Valley. Tickets are $6/per person for a breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice and coffee served by the Eastview cheerleaders. Tickets can be purchased at the door and advance tickets can be purchased at the Eastview Football Game or by contacting Cindy Archer-Burton at 952-432-9165.

This Satur= day, September 12 EVHS is hosting the Eastview Marching Band Festival at Eastview stadium beginning at 5:00 pm. Seventeen of the best high sch= ool marching bands in the region will be performing in competition. The e= vent will be one of the largest high school marching band events in Minnesota th= is year. Join us for some outstanding musical entertainment. Admis= sion is $8 for adults and $5 for students.

Tickets for the Welcome Back Dance can be purchased for $6 in advance or $10= at the door. We are encouraging all students to buy their tickets in advance during lunch to eliminate having to wait in line after the foot= ball game to get in the dance. Tickets will be sold today and tomorrow dur= ing lunch. Bring a canned good or hand sanitizer and get $1 off. The Welcome Back Dance is for Eastview students only no guests. The dance will be held tomorrow in the Eastview Commons from 8-11 pm. T= he dress is casual. Emergency Cards must be turned in. Upperclassmen bring old school ID cards.
