SPORT SCORES

The Boys Varsity Soccer team recorded their 10th win of the season last night with an emphatic 2-0 win over previously unbeaten Champlin Park.  It was a display of class and team soccer with all players contributing.  The defense was lead by Andrew Eull’s tackling and JJ Zieminski’s aerial prowess.  In the midfield, controlling the tempo were the trio of Peter Osborn, Tanner Lother and Tony Santoorjian.  Your Lightning got on the scoreboard in the first half on a header by Taylor Spanton on a long free kick by JJ Zieminski.  The team doubled its lead in the 2nd half after Tyler Trombley tracked down a loose ball in the corner and fed an onrushing Tanner Lother, who promptly one timed a blast into the far side netting.  Congratulations Boys!  Next up for the Lightning is conference leader Lakeville North on Thursday.

The JV Boys Soccer team played a good game last night. With a 1-0 lead going into half. goal by Korbin Rogers. After half time, the boys had a few issues on Defense to give up 3 goals. We had many chances to put the game away but just could not capitalize on the opertunities.  Next Game Thursday at Lakeville North.
Season record stands at 11-2-1.
