Announcement from Eagan Police regarding parking:: IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION FOR ALL FANS ATTENDING THE FOOTBALL GAME AT EAGAN HIGH SCHOOL: One side of each residential street directly east of Eagan High School is posted for permit parking only.  Permits are only issued to residents who live on these streets.  Football game parking is legal on the other side each of these streets during the football game.  For a map of these streets, search the Eagan High School website for “Stafford Parking”.  The side of the street that is NOT LEGAL TO PARK ON DURING THE GAME has an ORANGE placard on top of the permit parking signs. If you park on the side of the street with these orange placards displayed, they will get a ticket.  Eagan Police receive numerous complaints from residents whenever people park in these no parking areas.  The residents expect police to enforce these signs, and they do!!  The Eagan Police recommend that you park at Northview Park and follow the walking path to the Eagan High School stadium.

To get to Northview Park, follow Lexington Avenue north from Diffley, take a right (east) on Northview Park Road.  The second right is the entrance to Northview Park.  From Eagan High School, go north on Braddock, take a left on Northview Park Road, take the first left into Northview Park

SPORT SCORES

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Cross Country team for a decisive victory in the 20 team Rochester Mayo Invitational on Thursday.  After a hail storm and a large bolt of lightning the varsity outdistanced their nearest competitor by 71 points.  Leading the way for Eastview was Senior Travis Burkstrand in 5th place.  Also finishing in the top 20 were Senior Jeff Debele 11th; Senior Marty Maloney 13th; Senior Brian Griepp 14th, Senior Matt Brennan 18th; and Sophomore Paul Thompson 19th.

Bring out the brooms!  Congratulations to the Junior Varsity Boys Cross Country team for completing the sweep with their victory at the Rochester Mayo Invite.  The Lightning finished in the first four spots for a near perfect score of 19 points.  Leading the way and winning the race was Sophomore Michael Griepp; followed closely by Junior Scott Wobschall 2nd; Junior John Clayton 3rd; and Junior Ian Sharp 4th.  Other award winners were Senior Michael Mittelsteadt 9th; Junior Peter Bryan 15th; and Freshman Hunter Abramson 20th!

The Varsity Girls Cross Country team successfully defended their title last night at the Mayo Invitational. The girls scored a total of 42 points out running 17 other teams. McKenzie Melander was the medalist for the second year, covering the 21/2 mile course in 15:27. She was followed into the chute by freshman teammate Anne Ferguson who placed 2nd overall. Rebecca Pachuta placed 8th with a strong finishing 800. Anna Williams was 11th and missed a medal by only 1 second. Freshman Diana Scheire and MacKenzie Burkstrand followed by Ally Lawrence finished out the varsity finishers. There were a total of 120 runners, and all Easview Varsity were in the top 32.

The JV Girls Team finished 4th overall only 16 point out of first place. They were led by freshman Cassidy Peterson placing 10th out of 156 runners. The Girls Sophomore Soccer team's bus is leaving at 2:50pm to Jefferson!

The Girls 9B Soccer lost two very close games this past Tuesday and Wednesday.  On Tuesday Chaska defeated the gals 3-2 on a last minute goal.  Goals for Eastview were from Allie Kincade and Lauren Adelmann.  The 9B gals then pushed Eden Prairie to the limit before succumbing 1-0 on a fine shot from 20 yards out and bouncing off of the far post and in.  A superior job was performed by the defense limiting EP to just a few shots on goal.  Way to go gals!
