One of four ranked teams competing for the two qualifying spots, the Lightn= ing ran an impressive race up front, but were outkicked in the last mile. Leading the way for the Lightning was Junior Erik Rosvold (17), followed by Senior captain Michael Griepp (21), Sophomore Ken Hoffman (24), Junior Gavin Carleton (30), and Junior Tim Jurney (33).
