On Tuesday the Girls Varsity Hockey took on Eden Prairie. Coming into the contest Eden Prairie had shut out their 3 previous opponents . Kayla Willer made sure the Lightning did not get shut out by scoring an unassisted goal against Eden Praire in the first period to tie the game at 1-1. The Lighning became the first team to score against Eden Prairie this year, but could not manage another goal and ended up losing 7-1. Alicia Freeman made 44 saves for the Lightning.

The JV Girls Hockey team came up a little short in a hard fought 2-1 overtime loss to the Eden Prairie Eagles on Tuesday night. After a scoreless first period, the Lightning opened the scoring in the second period with a goal by Amanda Parranto, assisted by Amy Hart and Allison Schriener. Eden Prairie tied it 2 minutes later and it stayed that way until 2:16 into overtime when the Eagles scored to end the game. The JV Pucksters will take a couple of days off for Turkey Day and then start working on a new winning streak at South St. Paul on Tuesday 11/27.
