SPORT SCORES

The Sophomore Baseball team finished their season with a 9-9 record after a tough 4-2 loss to Lakeville North on Monday.  Garrett Olson pitched very well and a strong team defensive effort kept the game close.  The boys had runners on second and third with one out in the seventh but a good Lakeville North pitcher was able to work out of the jam and close the game.  Congratulations to all players on a fine season.

The conference pre-lims for Boys Varsity Track & Field started with Matt Karnick becoming a conference champion by winning the Pole Vault.  Other place winners yesterday included:  David Pearcill and Marty Maloney.  Eastview also qualified at least one athlete for every track event to the finals today.  Those qualifying were:  Will Jackson, Andre Hunt, Steve Smith, Travis Burkstrand, Ryan McCormick, Nick Budwig and Mike Mittelsteadt.

The Varsity Girls Track Team had a great conference prelim meet yesterday at Lakeville, and are currently leading in the team points. Kjirsten Jacobson won the Long Jump setting a new school record. The 4x 800 of Fries, Ferguson, Willer and Melander were also conference champions. Third place finishes were turned in by Amanda Beckman in the Long Jump and Paige Ofstedahl in High Jump. A seasons best performance was turned in by Emily Kaus to place 6th in the Shot Put. Many athletes qualified for the final rounds today in open events. Congratulations and Good Luck Today at Finals.

The Dakota Hawks finished their season last night defeating St. Paul Humboldt by a score of 17-13.  This victory placed the Hawks in first place in the conference.  Make sure to congratulate Nolan Anderson and Katie and wish them luck at state.  Our first playoff game is tomorrow at Eagan High School at 4:30.  We play in the Main Gym, rain or shine, come and cheer us on to victory.
