SPORT SCORES

Congratulations to Girls Varity Hockey team on their 4-0 shutout over Burnsville on Thursday. Scoring for the Lightning were Lisa Gorman from Christine Fries, Fries from Sarah Moran, Laura Gengler from Courtney Kukowski and Emily Snodgrass, and Snodgrass with an unassisted short handed goal. Lindsay Kauchick made 25 saves to earn the shutout. The win also ties the team record for wins in a season with 16.

The Varsity Boys Hockey team brought home a tie from Eden Prairie on Tuesday night.  (2-2) The Lightning lit the board first- Perry (Larson) and outshot EP 16-6 in the first.   Period 2 ended with neither team scoring.   EP tied the game and got the go ahead goal in the third, but with just over 1 minute remaining in the third Perry (Larson, Maloney)  tied the game and sent it into OT. In OT both teams had opportunities- but the game ended in a tie.  Senior goalie Tyler "Mugsy" Krob was in nets and turned away 36 shots.   The Lightning take on district rival Rosemount on Sat. evening at Rosemount.  Come cheer them on!!
