Last night the Eastview Lightning Boys 10th Grade Basketball team defeated a tough Bloomington Kennedy team.  With two of our players sick with the flu, we dug down deep and played together to gain this victory.  Cory Styles led our team with his great defense. Austin Brown had 8 assist, and Isaiah Thomas scored 14 points. Michael Rademacher also stepped up with his defensive efforts.  Our next game will be at home tomorrow night against Burnsville

The 9B Boys Basketball team had a rough outing last night at Chaska losing 65 - 32.  Turnovers were costly as the Lightning had over 20 on the night.  They will look to rebound Friday at home against Eagle Ridge.

The Lightning Girls’ Varsity Basketball team kept their perfect conference record alive, running it to 10-0, with a hard fought win over Kennedy.  Solid defense and a strong offense led to a 39-25 halftime lead.  The Lightning withstood a run by Kennedy to win by 15 going away:  69-54.  Brittnye McSparron led the balanced Lightning offensive attack with 16 points followed closely by Danae Moore and Cassie Sheppard with 12 points each.  Cassie also snagged 7 rebounds.  Emily Kaus picked up 8 rebounds off the bench.  Hailey Thomforde also scored and played some great defense off the bench for the Lightning.  The Lightning return to action on Friday as they journey to Burnsville to begin the second round of Lake Conference action.  The Lightning completed the first round 10-0.  The JV and sophomore teams have also won each of their first round games helping the Lightning to a clean sweep in the first round of the always tough Lake Conference.  Thanks to all our fans, we appreciate your support!  Go Lightning!

The Girls JV Hockey team lost a very close 3-2 game against Hopkins last night. With only 9 skaters, the Lightning battled hard, but could not keep up with the depth of the Royals. Kelly Meyer scored both Eastview goals and Lindsey Kauchick played strong in goal. The next game is Saturday afternoon at Lakeville. Go Lightning!
