2008-2009 Academic Year

Teaching Assignments:

This will be my sixth year at Eastview High School and my eighth year as an English teacher. During 2007-2008, I completed a reading licensure program through Hamline University and received my reading license in June 2008. As a result, my courses this year are focused on reading instruction. Academic Literacy 9 is a brand new course designed to offer intensive reading instruction for incoming ninth graders. I will also teach English/Speech 10 on a collaborative team with a new teammate, U.S. History teacher, Mr. John Kelly.

Co-Curricular Assignments:

My special interests include being an assistant coach of the Lightning Dance Team and assisting with the Dance Department productions. Also, this will be my 4th year co-advising the Eastview Book Club--a great way to find time to read for enjoyment! Lastly, I am a member of the Eastview High School Literacy Committee.
