Sep. 11, 2009

The Girls Swimming and Diving team beat Chaska 98 to 88 last night. The team swept 11 firsts out of 13 events including all relays, Leah Anderson in 200 free, Hayley Trace in 50 and 100 free, Kayla Hutsell in 100 backstroke and butterfly, Kristen Podratz in 100 breaststroke, and Erica Anders in diving. Cheer the Champions against Eagan at Falcon Ridge on Thursday, September 17.

The Girls Swimming and Diving team beat Eagan 111 to 75 last night. Eastview congratulates Sarah McCrady of Eagan who set a new pool record in diving - 229.45 points over 6 dives.

 

Sep. 23, 2009

The Girls Swimming and Diving Team closed in the gap with 87 to 99 against Eden Prairie Tuesday’s night. The relay teams of Leah Anderson, Kelsey Deinhammer, Anna Drahos, Kayla Hutsell, Kristin Podratz, Breanna Schlegel, Hayley Trace fought to the end and won first place in 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, and second place in 400 free relay. Also in first place are Kayla Hutsell in 100 Fly and 200 Back, Leah Anderson in 500 free, Kristin Podratz in 100 breast. Come to cheer the Eastview team to beat Bursnville at Falcon Ridge on Thursday, September 24th

The Girls Swimming and Diving Team swept 8 firsts of 13 events and beat Burnsville 94 to 87 Thursday’s night. The relay teams of Leah Anderson, Kelsey Deinhammer, Anna Drahos, Kayla Hutsell, Kristin Podratz, Breanna Schlegel, Hayley Trace pushed to the limit to win 200 medley relay and 200 free relay. Other first place winners includes Leah Anderson in 200 and 500 free, Kayla Hutsell in 200 IM and 100 back, Hayley Trace in 50 free, and Erica Anders in diving. The Lighting Champions can’t stop and won’t stop to beat Kennedy at Falcon Ridge on Thursday, October 1.

Congratulations to the Girls Swimming and Diving team won against Lakeville South 99 to 85 and fight to the end to close the gap against Lakeville North with 86 to 98 Tuesday’s night. The relay team of Kayla Hutsell, Kristin Podratz, Breanna Schlegel, Hayley Trace, Leah Anderson, Anna Drahos, Katharine Hamand won strong against both schools in 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. Individual winners against both schools are Breanna Schlegel in 100 backstroke, Kayla Hutsell in 100 fly and 200 IM (against Lakeville North). Also in first place against Lakeville South are Leah Anderson in 200 free, Hayley Trace in 50 and 100 free, Kristin Podratz in 100 breast and Erica Anders in diving. Come to cheer the Champion Team to push the limit and win strong against Rosemount at Rosemount on Tuesday, October 13.

 

Oct. 12, 2009

The Girls Swimming and Diving team gathered 914 points to finish 3rd of 7 teams competing in the True Team Section 2AA Meet on Saturday. The team was awarded a plaque for their efforts. The 200 Medley Relay team of Breanna Schlegel, Kristin Podratz, Kayla Hutsell, Hayley Trace finished strong and won first place. Kayla Hutsell placed first in 100 butterfly and second in 100 backstroke. Also in second place, Kristin Podratz in 100 breaststroke, followed very closely by Anna Drahos in third place. Hayley Trace finished third in 50 freestyle. Come and cheer the Lighting Champion team against Rosemount at Rosemount on Tuesday, October 13.

Congratulations! The Girls Swimming and Diving Team fought to the end and claimed victory against Rosemount with 96 to 90 in last Tuesday, October 13 meet in Rosemount. The Champion Relay Team of Kristin Podratz, Hayley Trace, Anna Drahos, Kelsey Deinhammer pushed strongly to put themselves at first place in 200 Medley Relay. Other first place winners are Leah Anderson in 200 Free, Kayla Hutsell in 50 and 500 Free, Anna Drahos in 100 Fly, Hayley Trace in 100 Backstroke, and Kristin Podratz in 100 Breaststroke. Please come to cheer our Lighting Champion Team to push the limit and win strong against Jefferson at Olson Middle School today, Thursday, October 22.

Congratulations! The Girls Swimming and Diving team pushed the limit and won against Jefferson with 95 to 88 on Thursday’s night. Our Champion Relay Team of Breanna Schlegel, Kristen Podratz, Kayla Hutsell, Anna Drahos, Hayley Trace, Leah Anderson, Kelsey Deinhammer swept all first places for all three relays: 200 Medley, 200 and 400 Free Relays. In individual, our first place winners are Kristen Podratz in 200 IM, Hayley Trace in 50 Free, Kayla Hutsell in 100 Fly and 100 Backstroke, Leah Anderson in 500 Free, and Anna Drahos in 100 Breaststroke. Don’t miss to come and see how our Lighting Champion team ends their last meet with a big triumph against Apple Valley at Valley Middle School next Friday, October 30th.

 

Nov. 3, 2009

Congratulations! The Girls Swimming and Diving team fought to the end and claimed victory against Apple Valley with 98 to 86 in the last meet on Friday, October 30. The amazing Relay Team of Breanna Schlegel, Kristen Podratz, Kayla Hutsell, Hayley Trace won 200 Medley Relay. In individual, our first place winners are Leah Anderson in 200 Free, Kayla Hutsell in 200 IM and 100 Backstroke, Anna Drahos in 500 Free and 100 Breaststroke, Breanna Schlegel in 100 Butterfly, and Erica Anders in Diving. Our Lighting Champion Team ended strongly with 7 to 2 for the season. Please wish the team well as they push their limits to prepare for the Section Preliminaries on November 11. Thank you to our amazing Coaches: Mark Toffefson, Eric Vogen and Steve Schiltz for a great season!
