Eastview Qualifies 3 for the State Tournament

Eastview High School hosted the Section 3AAA Individual Tournament this past weekend with all 14 wrestlers placing in the tournament! This is the second time ever for the team.

Three individuals also qualified for the State Tournament on March 2nd and 3rd at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Qualifying for the tournament were B. Groskreutz, J. Ruckavina, and M. Rechtzigal. Great weekend wrestlers! Click of the following links for brackets.

9th Grade Team Places Second at State

The 9th Grade and Under team placed second at the Individual State Tournament.

Placing at the tournament were K. McComb (2nd), L. Dodd (3rd), T. Delich (4th), W. Rains (5th), and C. Dravis (6th).

Rechzigal is Career Wins leader!

Senior Captain M. Rechzigal pinned M. Mason from South St. Paul to earn his 148th career win and break A. Fokken's 11 year record.   Fokken was a State Champion in 2001 and was at the match to congratulate Mitch. Rechtzigal also defeated #5 Rated C. Anderson (White Bear Lake) 5-2 and went 6-0 on the Week. Congratulations Mitch!
