The Echo Park Band is under the instruction of Ms. Michelle Hoff. All fifth grade students are encouraged to consider playing a band instrument. This process begins with fourth grade spring registration and lessons during the summer before fifth grade. Participation in the band program is usually enthusiastic with many students continuing to play in middle and high school. Fifth grade band members perform at three band concerts a year. Two concerts are performed at school for Echo Park Students. The third concert is Panorama of Bands where members of other elementary bands come together to perform.
