New baby in the house?

Congratulations on the birth of your baby! Infancy is a very important time in the life of your child as well as a wonderful and challenging time for parents!

Please take a moment and update our records with your baby’s name and birth date! Every baby counts for planning our infant programs! New Baby Census Form

ECFE offers the following programs for parents of new babies:

Classes: All of our baby classes keep parents and babies together so that you will have plenty of time for songs, fingerplay and just plain hugs. You will also have time to talk with an infant teacher about your baby’s development, safety, feeding, sleep, or other joys and concerns you may have. We believe that parents are the baby’s first and most important teachers and we want to support you in your critical role. Join us for a class this quarter. If you have any questions please do not hestitate to call Nancy P. at 952.431.8343. Tours of our classrooms and/or home visits are available upon request. To get involved with our baby classes, please visit our ECFE Catalog and click on the link to baby classes.

Teen/Young Parents: We offer a special class for young parents up to 21 years of age. This class will provide transportation if needed, starts with a light meal and includes activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. All children birth to kindergarten are welcome to attend. For more information, please visit our ECFE Catalog and click on the link for the teen/young parent class.

Drop-In Times Especially for Babies: These times are designed as a weekly outing for parent and baby. There is no registration, no fee. Come and enjoy our infant environment and meet other parents out for the afternoon. Check out our ECFE Catalog for drop-in times and dates.

All are welcome: Babies are welcome in all of our ECFE classes! Our philosophy encourages families to bring all their children from birth up to kindergarten for one class fee. Young infants (birth up to 9 weeks) must accompany their parent into the parent class. Babies need to be at least 9 weeks old to be left in the early childhood classroom during parent discussion. Teachers will work with parents to make the classroom experience a positive time for all!
