About Me
I have been a parent educator with Early Childhood Family Education in ISD 196 since the fall of 1986. I am currently teaching classes at the Early Childhood Learning Center in Apple Valley.
I grew up in rural Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota receiving both a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Education degree in Home Economics Education. I have also taken classes from Hamline and St. Thomas University as well as being trained as an Infant Massage Instructor from the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM).
Philosophy
I believe that parents are their child’s first and best teacher and I am privileged to be able to facilitate groups of parents helping them be just that. I believe that children are our future and we need to give them opportunities to develop to their fullest potential. ECFE plays an important role in achieving that goal for both children and parents by providing families with education and support in the first years of life.
