About Me
Hi, my name is Kelly Olson and I am an Early Childhood Educator.  I have been teaching Early Childhood Family Education classes for District 196 since 1990.  I am teaching in the Green Room at the ECLC in Apple Valley and also teach at the Rahncliff Learning Center in Eagan.

I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Psychology and a teaching minor in Early Childhood.  One of my most memorable experiences was that I did my student teaching overseas in Seoul, Korea.  I, to this day, am grateful for that opportunity and experience.  Prior to joining District 196, I also taught in Willmar, Minnesota.

Philosophy
I believe that parents know their children best and we all learn from a variety of experiences.  ECFE allows parents and children the opportunity to reinforce this belief and to strengthen the bond between them.  My goal as a teacher is to help children grow in the areas of socialization, problem solving, self-esteem and communication.  I am currently interested in observing and implementing sign language gestures into my teaching to help facilitate speech for verbal and non-verbal children.  I feel fortunate to be a part of this amazing district.
